Generousity

Scripture:

   You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous

on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in

thanksgiving to God.

    -- 2 Corinthians 9:11

My prayer:

   Father, thank you for providing me with so many blessings. May

my use of your riches bring you glory and bring others a true and

genuine blessing that will touch their hearts with your grace. 

My Future

Today's Scripture:

For I know what I have planned for you,’ says the Lord. ‘I have plans to prosper you, not to harm you. I have plans to give you a future filled with hope.
--Jeremiah 29:11

My Prayer:
Thank you God that you hold my future in your hand and that future is one of prosperity and hope. Lead me and I will follow.

Not my strength...

Today's Scripture:

You may say to yourself, "My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me." But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
Deuteronomy 8:17-18

My Prayer:

I thank you, Father, for your wonderful and extravagant blessings. All that I have, all that I am, and all that I ever hope to be exists only because of the mercy and grace you have lavished upon me. Help me to see your hand in all that I do.

Reform me

Today's Scipture:
This is what the LORD Almighty, the God of Israel, says: Reform
your ways and your actions, and I will let you live in this place.
Jeremiah 7:3

My Prayer:
Father in Heaven, thank you for everything you have given me. For my wife and family, my life in America, and the ability to use what I have for your kingdom I give you praise. I ask you Lord to change me from the inside out and live a life that is pleasing to you. Give me a new purpose where the work of my hands produces fruit that does not spoil.

Forgive

Today's Reading:
"But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not
forgive your sins."
Matthew 6:15

My Prayer:
Father in Heaven, please help me to have a heart that is quick to forgive. Just as you have forgiven me for my sins, help me to not hold on to anger.

Treasure

Today's Reading:

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Matthew 6:19-21

My Prayer:

Father in heaven, set my eyes upon your work, lead me to opportunities where I can invest in your kingdom. Help me to resist the desire to collect things on this earth that are temporary.

A call to Fathers

Today's Reading:

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up
in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4

My Prayer:

Lord, help me to find the balance between nurturing and correction. Teach me to be patient and forgiving. Help me to raise my children in your ways.
